The nib is acceptably smooth, even though it is fine-tipped. I received prompt delivery, and the nib fits perfectly into my Jinhao X750. I've noticed that the stock medium nibs from Jinhao can underperform compared to the medium and fine nibs purchased separately from Moonman Pen (Pro). I’m not sure if Jinhao intends to sell their nibs twice (Con).
This is a #6/35 mm JoWo-compatible gold-plated stiff steel nib that fits into many JoWo-compatible feeds/sections designed for international #6 size nibs (Pro). The installation was seamless, requiring no modifications (Pro). The gold plating is likely just a few atoms thick, but it still shines (Pro).
I bought an old Jinhao X750 from a local shop without a nib at a discounted price, and I had an extra #6-size Jinhao medium nib (also a stock nib that was salvaged from another pen) at home. Curious about the fine-tipped option, I decided to place an order. The package arrived in just three days in Kolkata, and the packaging was excellent (Pro).
I’ve heard that the Jinhao medium nibs from Moonman Pen are even smoother than the stock ones, which I found to be less impressive (Con). I've heard that the Jinhao #6 medium nibs from Moonman Pen are smoother than these fine ones from the same retailer, which is expected because broader nibs usually provide a smoother writing experience. The fine nib draws a line that is slightly thinner, but not by much. It provides a juicy writing experience; however, the tipping material is unevenly cut, making one side larger than the other (Con). Fortunately, this doesn’t affect the nib's performance (Pro). Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. I'm considering purchasing the medium tip nibs from Moonman Pen.
The pen is beautiful. I had ordered fine nib, what was delivered was medium nib. Writes smooth and has premium feel attached.
Ok not great
The pen is really good, nice aesthetics and looks, good feel while writing. The only minor adjustment I needed was in the nib. It's a bit feedbacky but will probably improve with time.
